FosterREG aims at enhancing public capacity at local, regional and national levels to plan, finance and manage integrated urban regeneration for sustainable energy uptake, through capacity building, promotion and articulation of effective multilevel coordination, and national as well as European network strengthening. These objectives will be achieved through public stakeholders’ engagement in joint analysis and knowledge development activities, as well as creation and dissemination of targeted training materials and activities across Europe. Coming events

On 30th October 2015 Urban regeneration and energy efficiency: Towards new management models workshop will be held in San Sebastian. During the workshop strategies and initiatives to promote integrated urban regeneration in the Basque Country will be presented. Participants will also discuss about new management models to implement new projects.

FosterREG will be presented during SDEWES 2015 10th Conference on Sustainable Development of Energy, Water and Environment Systems. The event will be  held in Dubrovnik on 27.09. - 03.10. 2015. 


The 10th Conference on Sustainable Development of Energy, Water and Environment Systems – SDEWES Conference, to be held in Dubrovnik in 2015, is dedicated to the improvement and dissemination of knowledge on methods, policies and technologies for increasing the sustainability of development by de-coupling growth from natural resources and replacing them with knowledge based economy, taking into account its economic, environmental and social pillars, as well as methods for assessing and measuring sustainability of development, regarding energy, transport, water, environment and food production systems and their many combinations. Sustainability being also a perfect field for interdisciplinary and multi-cultural evaluation of complex system, the SDEWES Conference has at the beginning of the 21st century become a significant venue for researchers in those areas to meet, and originate, discuss, share, and disseminate new ideas.
